FINAL MINUTES GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION February 23, 2004 Call to Order by the Chairman The February 23, 2004, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called to order by Chairman Silver at 7:40 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Village Hall. Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum Roll call was taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. PRESENT: Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Kramer, Morrison and Chairman Silver ABSENT: None ALSO PRESENT: Helen Wiseman, Licensed Architect and Staff Liaison GUEST: Ms. Lisa DiChiera, Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois AUDIENCE: Mr. Chris Warren, President, Glenview Park District Approval of Minutes Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to the February 9, 2003 minutes of the Historic Preservation Commission meeting. The corrections are as follows: Ms. Mary Sacoff, Resident · Page one, last paragraph, be changed to read, "The proposed ordinance represented having only the property owner apply in which case the provision for an informational meeting should be omitted from the draft ordinance as an amendment as discussed in the meeting with the Village attorney. If only the owner may nominate, the preliminary meeting would not be needed." [These represent corrections to the previously approved Final Minutes for December 8, 2003.] · Page two, third paragraph, third and fourth sentences be changed to read, "This meeting did not occur on the date for which it was scheduled, because the Village Board requested the Historic Preservation Commission postpone consideration of the cases, to which the Chairman agreed. The landmark process begins when an application is received by Village Staff." [There was some discussion among Commissioners as to what constitutes the receipt of an application. Under the current ordinance, Ms. Wiseman receives the application and the process of notification begins its being considered a case.]
