FINAL <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />August 9, 2004 <br /> <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The August 9, 2004, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was <br />called to order by Chairman Silver at 7:30 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Morrison, and Chairman Silver <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Commissioner Kramer <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Helen Wiseman, Licensed Architect and Staff Liaison <br /> <br />AUDIENCE: <br /> <br />Mr. Alex Pappas, Architect <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to the July 12, 2004 minutes of the <br />Historic Preservation Commission meeting. <br /> <br />Page three, third paragraph, last sentence should begin "If the property owner objects to the <br />application for landmarking, ...". <br /> <br />Page three, last line should read, "Page Six, F. "objectors" should be "objectors'" <br /> <br />Commissioner Dawson moved to approve the July 12, 2004 minutes as amended. <br />Commissioner Conway seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried 3-0. <br />Commissioner Morrison did not vote because she did not attend the June 14 meeting. <br /> <br />General Communications <br />Ms. Wiseman distributed to Commissioners a photocopy of the June 14, <br />Preservation Commission Final Approved Minutes. <br /> <br />2004 Historic <br /> <br />Landmark Nomination Form and Landmark District Nomination Form <br />Chairman Silver said on both forms where it says "yes or no or unknown (circle one)" <br />It should say "circle one: yes no unknown". <br /> <br />July 12, 2004 Minutes <br />On page five, third paragraph, the Minutes state "Discussion ensued about "The Park" area. <br />Commissioner Kramer said the rules now are one building per lot." Chairman Silver did <br />not understand what was meant. Ms. Wiseman did not wish to speculate what <br />Commissioner Kramer meant, but said the requirement is based on the zoning ordinance. <br />Many of the lots in The Park area are sub-standard lot widths which do not conform to the <br /> <br /> <br />
