FINAL <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />December 12, 2005 <br /> <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The December 12, 2005, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was <br />called to order by Chairman Silver at 7:30 p.m. in the Lunch Room of the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br /> <br />PRE SENT: <br /> <br />Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Kramer, Pappas, and <br />Chairman Silver <br /> <br />AB SENT: <br /> <br />Commissioner Wendy <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Lisa Porter, Staff Liaison <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to Minutes of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission meeting of November 14, 2005. <br /> <br />Page two, fourth paragraph, second line should be "... A phased survey ..." <br /> <br />Page three, third paragraph, first line should be "Is there a way for the HPC to minimize <br />expenses for the homeowner by retaining a consultant for the application process." <br /> <br />Commissioner Kramer moved to approve the November 14, 2005 Minutes. Commissioner <br />Dawson seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />General Communications <br />Ms. Porter included in this meeting's packet to Commissioners a revised letter to the <br />residents of the survey area. The Commissioners recommended the fourth bullet point be <br />revised to "The information will be used to assist the property owner and the Glenview <br />Historic Preservation Commission in ...". <br /> <br />Chairman Silver remembered during November's HPC meeting there was some discussion <br />about preparing a grant request for another survey. Consequently, he prepared a map <br />[distributed in this meeting's packet] which shows approximate locations of potential <br />landmark sites without identifying their address. The map shows that these sites are scattered <br />throughout the Village. <br /> <br />Also included in this meeting's packet are two pages which show property sites of older <br />homes that are for sale and likely to be razed. Older buildings that are potential landmarks <br /> <br /> <br />
