<br />I FINAL I <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />January 9, 2006 <br /> <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The January 9, 2006, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called <br />to order by Chairman Silver at 7:39 p.m. in the Lunch Room of the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Commissioners Conway, Kramer, Pappas, Wendy and <br />Chairman Silver <br /> <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Dawson <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Lisa Porter, Staff Liaison <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to Minutes of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission meeting of December 12, 2005. There were no corrections. <br /> <br />Commissioner Conway moved to approve the December 12, 2005 Minutes. Commissioner <br />Kramer seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried 4-0. <br /> <br />General Communications <br />Ms. Porter distributed some additions to the grant survey notebook that Commissioners <br />received prior to this meeting. Also distributed was the meeting schedule for the 2006 <br />Historic Preservation Commission meetings. <br /> <br />Pending Business <br />5.a. Discuss Workshop for Property Owners of Potential Properties <br />Chairman Silver will contact the requested outside speakers to determine if they are <br />interested in participating and available for the Workshop on May 6, 2006 from ten o'clock <br />to noon in the Boardroom of the Village Hall. Commissioner Wendy again indicated that he <br />would be pleased to address the Workshop's following questions: <br /> <br />~ How does historic preservation impact the economics of building? <br /> <br />~ Who pays the legal bills for the application process if the property owner objects <br />to land marking? Can property owners ask for compensation for land marking against their <br />will? <br />
