FINAL MINUTES GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION March 13, 2006 Call to Order by the Chairman The March 13, 2006, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called to order by Chairman Silver at 7:40 p.m. in the Lunch Room of the Village Hall. Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum Roll call was taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. PRESENT: Commissioners Kramer, Pappas, Wendy and Chairman Silver ABSENT: Commissioners Conway and Dawson ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Lisa Porter, Staff Liaison Approval of Minutes Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to Minutes of the Historic Preservation Commission meeting of February 13, 2006. Page one, first paragraph, second line should read “… at 7:30 p.m. …” Commissioner Kramer moved to approve the February 13, 2006 Minutes as corrected. Commissioner Pappas seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried 3-0. General Communications Chairman Silver encouraged Commissioners to attend the statewide Preservation Conference held June 8-10, 2006 in Bloomington/Normal, Illinois. Pending Business 5.a. Grant Survey Handouts Provided at the Last Meeting Commissioners had no additional comments regarding the grant survey. Chairman Silver will forward to Ms. Granacki the names of early Glenview residents who lived in homes mentioned on the Sanger List. Commissioner Dawson also e-mailed comments to Ms. Granacki on the Ward home and the old Swain Nelson Headquarters. 5.b. May, 2006 Workshop Ms. Porter determined that May 13, 2006 was the best day to hold the HPC Workshop according to the Commissioners’ responses to her e-mail. Commissioner Kramer moved to hold the Historic Preservation Commission Workshop held on Saturday, May 13, 2006. Commissioner Pappas seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried 3-0.
