The fair is designed to bring together different organizations
dedicated to Glenview history and/or family history and to share information and perhaps
help one another. Chairman Silver informed Ms. Butta about the upcoming HPC Workshop
and may include her as a Speaker. The Library recently received old Glenview telephone
books, one dating back to 1903, which may be useful as research tools. At the fair’s HPC
table would be Handbooks and landmark applications for distribution.

Pending Business

5.a. May 13, 2006 Workshop

Commissioner Conway distributed an updated version of her presentation which will include
a part on eminent domain. Commissioner Conway will be unable to attend the Workshop but
will prepare remarks for someone else to present. The purpose of the Landmark Ordinance is
to enhance the overall neighborhood within the community which filters down to each
individual owner.
