<br />FINAL <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />April 10, 2006 <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The April 10, 2006, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called <br />to order by Chairman Silver at 7:37 p.m. in the Lunch Room of the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Commissioners Conway, Kramer, Pappas, Wendy <br /> and Chairman Silver <br /> <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Dawson <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Lisa Porter, Staff Liaison <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to Minutes of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission meeting of March 13, 2006. <br /> <br />There were no corrections. Commissioner Kramer moved to approve the March 13, 2006 <br />Minutes. Commissioner Pappas seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried <br />4-0. <br /> <br />General Communications <br /> <br />Chairman Silver received an e-mail from Ms. Deena Butta, a Reference Librarian at the <br />Glenview Public Library, who is planning a local and family history fair at the Library on <br />Saturday, October 21, 2006. The fair is designed to bring together different organizations <br />dedicated to Glenview history and/or family history and to share information and perhaps <br />help one another. Chairman Silver informed Ms. Butta about the upcoming HPC Workshop <br />and may include her as a Speaker. The Library recently received old Glenview telephone <br />books, one dating back to 1903, which may be useful as research tools. At the fair’s HPC <br />table would be Handbooks and landmark applications for distribution. <br /> <br />Pending Business <br /> <br />5.a. May 13, 2006 Workshop <br /> <br />Commissioner Conway distributed an updated version of her presentation which will include <br />a part on eminent domain. Commissioner Conway will be unable to attend the Workshop but <br />will prepare remarks for someone else to present. The purpose of the Landmark Ordinance is <br />to enhance the overall neighborhood within the community which filters down to each <br />individual owner. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
