<br />FINAL <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />June 12, 2006 <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The June 12, 2006, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called to <br />order by Chairman Silver at 7:40 p.m. in the Lunch Room of the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Kramer, and Chairman Silver <br /> <br />ABSENT: Commissioners Pappas and Wendy <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Lisa Porter, Staff Liaison <br /> <br />GUEST: Ms. Vicki Granacki, Granacki Historic Consultants <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to Minutes of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission meeting of May 8, 2006. <br /> <br />Page two, paragraph seven, second line should read, “… Perhaps Mr. Hutchings, as …” <br /> <br />Commissioner Conway moved to approve the May 8, 2006 Minutes as corrected. <br />Commissioner Kramer seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />General Communications <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Comments Regarding May 8, 2006 HPC Minutes <br /> <br />Commissioner Conway asked how the Commission can receive notification when a property <br />reaches 50 years old, particularly the houses annexed into Glenview over the last thirty years, <br />in order to identify those properties before the renovation permit process has begun. Ms. <br />Vicki Granacki suggested researching county and Village records. Commissioner Dawson <br />explained the Historical Society has plats from 1880, 1920’s, 1950’s, and 1960’s which may <br />be useful. Chairman Silver said the on-line information from the Assessor’s office is vague. <br /> <br />Commissioner Conway inquired how long Chairman Silver and Commissioner Kramer may <br />continue to serve on the Historic Preservation Commission as their terms of service expire <br />June, 2006. Chairman Silver explained that he telephoned Village President Ms. Kerry <br />Cummings regarding this issue but has not yet spoken with her. He will call again. <br />Chairman Silver stated he would be pleased to continue to serve as Commission Chairman <br /> <br />
