<br />FINAL <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />July 10, 2006 <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The July 10, 2006, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called to <br />order by Chairman Silver at 7:40 p.m. in the Lunch Room of the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Pappas, Wendy, and <br /> Chairman Silver <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Lisa Porter, Staff Liaison <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to Minutes of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission meeting of June 12, 2006. <br /> <br />Page one, first paragraph, fifth line should read, “… The Historical Society has plats from <br />1880, 1920’s, 1950’s, and 1960’s which may be useful.” <br /> <br />Page two, second paragraph, should read, “Commissioner Conway moved to recommend to <br />the Board of Trustees that the Historic Preservation Ordinance be amended to …”. <br /> <br />Page two, third paragraph, says: “It was then suggested that the Commission’s discussion <br />regarding term extensions and the subsequent motion be transmitted to the Village President <br />for consideration. <br /> <br />Page four, last paragraph, fourth line, should read “… Swain Nelson as a landscape designer <br />which was a Glenview business of international status.” <br /> <br />Commissioner Conway wondered if term extensions amendment to the Ordinance had been <br />placed on the Board agenda. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wendy said in the Commission has spoken in the past about other substantive <br />amendments to the Historic Preservation Ordinance that should be discussed with Ms. Mary <br />Bak. Commissioner Wendy reminded the Commission that he submitted to the HPC a series <br />of proposed technical amendments that arose out of his drafting the Handbook. It is not <br />necessary to submit all of these amendments with the term amendment, as long as Chairman <br />Silver could address that Board at a later date. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
