<br />FINAL <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />August 14, 2006 <br /> <br /> <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The August 14, 2006, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called <br />to order by Chairman Silver at 7:40 p.m. in the Lunch Room of the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Kramer, and Chairman Silver <br /> <br />ABSENT: Commissioners Pappas and Wendy <br /> <br />ALSO ABSENT: Ms. Lisa Porter, Staff Liaison <br /> <br />GUEST: Ms. Deena Butta, Glenview Public Library <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to Minutes of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission meeting of July 10, 2006. <br /> <br />Page three, third large bullet point, second line should read, “Listened to people who have <br />been through the Historic Preservation Process” <br /> <br />Page three, third large bullet point, under Certification “Received certification as a Certified <br />Local Government which allows the HPC to apply for grants and financial benefits for <br />people who have landmarked property in Glenview.” <br /> <br />Page five, paragraph 5.b., last bullet point should be “How important is the resale value of <br />one’s home in terms of considering landmarking?” <br /> <br />Page six, first paragraph, second line should read “…Victorian homes, is considered an <br />advantage.” <br /> <br />Page six, third paragraph, delete last two sentences. <br /> <br />Commissioner Kramer moved to approve the July 10, 2006 Minutes as corrected. <br />Commissioner Dawson seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />General Communications <br /> <br />Chairman Silver recently made a presentation to the Board and will send a DVD of that <br />meeting to Commissioners. <br /> <br />
