DRAFT <br />MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />June 9, 2008 <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The June 9, 2008 meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called to <br />order by Chairman Silver at 7:35 p.m. in the Lunch Room of the Village Hall. <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br />PRESENT: Chairman Silver, Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Kramer, and <br />Pappas <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Siegel <br />GUEST: Ms. Phyllis Rudnick <br />ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Lisa Porter, Staff Liaison <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to Minutes of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission meeting of April 14, 2008. There were no corrections. <br />Commissioner Dawson moved to approve the April 14, 2008 Minutes as written. <br />Commissioner Pappas seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried. <br />General Communications <br />The Glenview Public Library will receive a copy of the Historic Preservation Commission's <br />latest survey when completed. <br />Pending Business <br />5.a. Update on "The Park" <br />Mr. Kent Fuller told Chairman Silver that The Park Dwellings is willing to sell the Burnham <br />property for a nominal fee if the buyer purchases land in The Park where the Burnham house <br />could be relocated. Chairman Silver notified Landmarks Illinois that the Burnham house is <br />available for purchase. <br />The Burnham Plan Centennial Commission (BPCC) suggested the HPC partner with them to <br />help create informational programs for availability at the Glenview Public Library and the <br />Park District. Commissioners received a list of current BPCC partners which include <br />museums, libraries, historic societies and public agencies. There will be a Burnham Plan <br />
