FINAL <br />MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />July 14, 2008 <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The July 14, 2008 meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called <br />to order by Chairman Silver at 7:33 p.m. in the Lunch Room of the Village Hall. <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br />PRESENT: Chairman Silver, Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Pappas, and <br />Siegel <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Kramer <br />GUEST: Mr. Jim Cleland, Loyola Academy <br />ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Lisa Porter, Staff Liaison <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to Minutes of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission meeting of June 9, 2008. There were no corrections. <br />Commissioner Conway moved to approve the June 9, 2008 Minutes as written. <br />Commissioner Dawson seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried. <br />General Communications <br />Ms. Porter distributed a Landmarks Illinois brief which makes suggestions on "How to <br />Conduct Surveys of Architecture of the Recent Past" based on non-residential structures <br />surveyed during 2006-2007. <br />The agreement for the 2008 survey by Granacki Historic Consultants of various parcels of <br />Glenview could be signed this week by the Village and the consultant which will enable <br />Granacki to begin research. Photographs will be taken in late fall. <br />The house at 930 Pleasant is under contract for sale and will be dernolished upon approval <br />of plans for the new structure on that lot. <br />Chairman Silver has been reviewing the 1933 World's Fair website for similarities between <br />a structure built at that time and the Lustran house on Golfview Road. <br />
