<br />FINAL <br />MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />September 15, 2008 <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The September 15, 2008 meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was <br />called to order by Chairman Silver at 7:32 p.m. in the Lunchroom of the Village Hall. <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br />PRESENT: Chairman Silver, Commissioners Dawson, Kramer, and Siegel <br />ABSENT: Commissioners Conway and Pappas <br />ALSO PRESENT: Ms. Lisa Porter, Staff Liaison <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to Minutes of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission meeting of August 11, 2008. There were no corrections. <br />Commissioner Dawson moved to approve the July 14, 2008 Minutes as written. <br />Commissioner Kramer seconded the motion. Upon voice vote the motion carried. <br />General Communications <br />Ms. Porter said the Historic Preservation Commission received an invitation to a ‘Casino <br />Night’ fundraiser for Glenview Youth Services to be held October 4, 2008 at Sunset Ridge <br />Country Club. <br />Chairman Silver received an invitation for the HPC to attend the annual statewide <br />Preservation Conference at Navy Pier. <br />A contract was signed between Granacki Historic Consultants (GHC) and the Village of <br />Glenview. GHC will begin survey fieldwork this week and will soon collect permit and <br />title research. <br />Ms. Porter will review her mail for information on the State of Illinois 2009 grant process <br />which is due in Springfield on November 14, 2008. Commissioner Kramer suggested the <br />HPC grant request concentrate on funding for educational programs. <br />Commissioner Dawson said the Glenview Historical Society received a telephone call from <br />an Art Institute of Chicago graduate student researching her thesis on Keck homes. <br /> <br />
