Chairman Silver stated that he has talked with
Village Board President Larry Carlson about replacing commissioners to the HPC. Chairman
Silver and Commissioner Dawson have suggested applicants to President Carlson.

Chairman Silver asked for comments and/or corrections to the December 10, 2001, minutes.
After a brief review, Commissioner Morrison moved to accept the December 10, 2001, minutes
as presented. Commissioner Dawson seconded the motion.

The amended Historical Preservation Ordinance was presented to the Village Board for a second
reading on Tuesday, March 19, 2002. Ms. Wiseman stated that there were slight modifications
to the ordinance, which were grammatical as opposed to substance. Ms. Wiseman will verify
whether or not the ordinance has been passed with the modifications.

General Communications-

All commissioners will be available to attend the April 8 HPC meeting.

Ms. Wiseman mentioned that three (3) Architectural Survey Request for Proposals and a copy of
an overview that she completed were distributed to the commissioners. The overview will be
discussed during the meeting.

Chairman Silver asked that the Staff Overview of Survey Request for Proposal (RFP) be
discussed. A copy of the request for proposal and a mailing list of the firms solicited were
included in the January 14, 2002, commissioners' packet.

Ms. Wiseman stated that staff has not reviewed the three (3) proposals that were submitted at
length. All were submitted by the deadline of the commission. It was suggested that the
commissioners interview all three of the firms submitting proposals because there were only
three submittals and they are familiar firms to the village. The firms submitting proposals are:
- Historic Certification Consultants; Susan Benjamin and Victoria Granacki, Partners in the
firm; listed on the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency list.
- McClier; T. Gunny Harboe, VP; not listed on the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency
list, but may have a reference or contact with the agency.
