MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />February 10, 2003 <br /> <br />The February 10, 2003, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called to <br />order by Chairman Silver at 7:30 PM in the Board Room of the Village Hall. Roll call was taken, <br />and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Ireland, Morrison, Neymark and <br /> Chairman Silver <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Commissioner Kramer <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Helen Wiseman, Licensed Architect and Staff Liaison <br /> <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to the January 13, 2003, minutes of the Historic <br />Preservation Commission meeting. Corrections are as follows: <br />· Page 1 - Corrected spelling of Mr. Poutarelli's name <br />· Page 1 paragraph 7 should read: Chairman Silver stated that there was a December meeting, but <br /> that the Glenview House was not discussed at that meeting at the request of Mr. Hamilton. <br />· Page 2, paragraph 4 should read: Ms. Wiseman stated that the packet to date was reported on <br /> at the previous meeting. <br />· Page 2, paragraph 8 should read: Ms. Wiseman stated that there was an existing rough draft in <br /> the Survey for Request for Proposal that was used. <br />· Page 2, paragraph 8, last sentence should read: The state would then take six to nine months to <br /> respond to the application per Chairman Silver. <br />· Page 3, paragraph 3 should read: She said that the burden of proof was on the petitioner to <br /> show that the application meets the criteria of the Ordinance. <br />· Page 3, paragraph 4 should read: Ms. Wiseman said that the survey program could be <br /> completed for the Village Board meeting date for the next month. <br />· Page 4, paragraph 8 should read: Ms. Wiseman stated a more intensive survey would be <br /> expensive, while a less intensive survey or reconnaissance survey was available and could better <br /> meet budget constraints. <br />· Page 5 - Corrected spelling ofRachelle McClarren <br />· Page 5 - Corrected spelling of the word agreed <br />· Page 5 - Corrected spelling of Mr. Bahlmau's name <br />· Page 5, paragraph 7 should read: Ms. Wiseman stated that there could only be two people from <br /> the HPC in attendance, or else it is an official meeting per the Open Meetings Act and would <br /> need to be recorded and documented by the village. <br />· Page 5, paragraph 11 should read: Commissioner Conway asked if the boundaries of the <br /> district have not yet been determined. <br />· Page 5, paragraph 12 should read: Chairman Silver said that there were some homes in this area <br /> that look to be original homes, and other homes that are more modern in style. <br />· Page 6, paragraph 10 should read: Ms. Wiseman said that examples of creating a district are <br /> Solar Park or the Keck Homes. She stated that a historical district could be defined by au <br /> architect or common style and not necessarily by the age of the structure(s). <br />· Page 7-Corrected spelling of Coronet. <br />· Page 7, last sentence-Possibly Commissioner Ireland and not Commissioner Conway made a <br /> reference to the Coronet Road home in the previous minutes. Ms. Wiseman will review the tape <br /> to determine who made the comment. <br /> <br /> <br />
