MINUTES <br /> GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br /> JANUARY 13, 2003 <br />The January 13, 2003, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was called to <br />order by Chairman Silver at 7:30 PM in the Board Room of the Village Hall. Roll call was <br />taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Ireland, Kramer, Morrison, Neymark, <br />and Chairman Silver <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Helen Wiseman, Licensed Architect and Staff Liaison <br /> <br />Also in attendance at the meeting was Jay Hamilton, representing the owners of Glenview <br />House, and Patrick Pontarelli of Miller, Forest & Downing, representing the Hamiltons. <br /> <br />Chairman Silver welcomed Connie Conway as a new Commissioner of the Historic Preservation <br />Commission. <br /> <br /> - Minutes - <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections to the December 9, 2002 minutes of the Historic <br />Preservation Commission meeting. With no corrections offered, Commissioner Kramer moved <br />to approve the minutes from December 9, 2002. Seconded by Commissioner Dawson. Upon a <br />voice vote, the motion carried. <br /> <br /> - General Communications - <br />Ms. Wiseman stated that there was an email forwarded from the Chairman to declare some <br />agenda items for the meeting. This email was reproduced and distributed to the Commissioners. <br />Also, per request of Commissioner Conway, a note on her background was distributed to the <br />Commissioners. Ms. Wiseman also included a schedule in the packet for the Historic <br />Preservation meetings and other deadlines in 2003. Distributed to the Commissioners was also a <br />letter from the Village Board approving the HPC budget request of $9,500.00. <br /> <br />Old Business - <br />- a. Discussion with Owners of Glenview House (1843 Glenview Road) -Possible Candidate <br />for Application of Landmark Status. <br /> <br />Mr. Pontarelli asked for clarification if there was a meeting in December that was cancelled due <br />to lack of quorum. <br /> <br />Chairman Silver stated that there was a December meeting, but that Glenview House was not <br />discussed at that meeting, at the request of Mr. Hamilton. <br /> <br />Mr. Hamilton, representative for Glenview House, stated that they are excited about pursuing <br />Historic Landmark status. He said that he had researched how to receive "beneficial stuff" from <br />Cook County. In order to use these grant monies and tax breaks, the Village must be certified as <br /> <br /> <br />
