FINAL <br /> <br /> MINUTES <br />GLENVIEW HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />December 8, 2003 <br /> <br />Call to Order by the Chairman <br />The December 8, 2003, meeting of the Glenview Historic Preservation Commission was <br />called to order by Chairman Silver at 7:37 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Village Hall. <br /> <br />Roll Call and Declaration of a Quorum <br />Roll call was taken, and Chairman Silver noted that a quorum was present. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> <br />Commissioners Conway, Dawson, Kramer, Morrison and <br />Chairman Silver <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: Helen Wiseman, Licensed Architect and Staff Liaison <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairman Silver asked for corrections or comments to the November 24, 2003 minutes of <br />the Historic Preservation Commission meeting. The corrections are as follows: <br /> <br />· Page four, second paragraph, the last sentence be changed to read, "The <br />Commission should share information with the Trustees via the workshop to answer any <br />questions they may have on the process." <br /> <br />Page four, fifth paragraph, second sentence, the last word should read "GVTV." <br /> <br />· Page five, second bullet point should read, "How the property value may be <br />enhanced as a result of being landmarked." <br /> <br />Page five, sixth bullet point should read, "What are the potential financial benefits." <br /> <br />· Page five, ninth bullet point should read, "How may the individual property <br />owner's position be potentially enhanced." <br /> <br />· Page five, under "Commissioner Kramer added" the first bullet point should read, <br />"If a property has been landmarked and the owner wants it decertified, it can be achieved." <br /> <br />· Page six, third paragraph, second sentence should read, "Chairman Silver suggested <br />presenting anecdotes to help the Trustees understand cases, so there is a reason for the <br />Commission to be able to nominate a property that is in imminent danger of being <br />demolished." <br /> <br /> <br />
